We asked you last month... "What is your child's favorite Thanksgiving food or meal, and please share some of your special recipes with us."
Here's what you told us:
- My kids love the turkey with whole cranberry sauce to dip it in. The sweet potato casserole is popular. The pumpkin roll dessert with all the cream cheese frosting is a hit with everyone! Johnson City, TN ~
- Believe it or not, my kids' favorites are two vegetable dishes, my great grandma's recipe for baked corn, and the other favorite is my “soon to be famous" green beans, and of course, pumpkin pie! Lancaster, OH ~
- They love green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and baked macaroni and cheese. Tulsa, OK ~
- All my kids love turkey with hot sauce. My favorite recipe for Thanksgiving is a dessert that I make: Dump cake…pineapples, cherry pie filling, cake mix and pecans, baked in the oven. When it's done, top it with vanilla ice cream – YUMMY! Seattle WA ~
- My son loves his protein, so he loves the turkey. He also loves a green bean casserole that we prepare. Merritt Island, FL ~
- They love the mashed potatoes & gravy (with the little “swimming pool" of gravy!) Elizabeth, NJ ~
- My son is all about the buttered sweet potatoes. If he had nothing but sweet potatoes on his plate for Thanksgiving, he'd be a happy camper. Pickerington, OH ~
