What are the hottest trends in makeup?

• The current trend in foundation, especially for winter, is a matte shade. This allows you to let your best facial features show with great colors.



• There are two extremes for the eyes: smoky and almost naked.



• Look for interesting eye shadow shades in moss green, gold, amber, gray, and shale.



• The cat-eye makeup, popular last year, has been slightly modified. Rather than sweeping the end up and out, the look is now horizontal and straight.



• Brows are heavier and thicker, giving a more youthful appearance.



• The 1980’s are back, too, with deep blush colors and blue eye shadow.



• Find a great matte red or deep purple lipstick. Keep in mind that if your skin tone is pink, look for a plum shade, and if your skin tone is golden, a red with yellow or orange undertones works best.
